United States Patriot Act - How it Affects You
The
USA Patriot Act requires financial institutions to implement
new identification procedures. These procedures require
us to see certain identification, verify the accuracy
of that identification and keep copies of the identification.
The
policy will not allow the opening of any savings, checking,
certificate, any type of loan account, or cash a check
when a customer or additional signer(s) (i.e., joint owner,
trust account trustee, attorney in fact, etc...) fails
to provide sufficient identification and/or fails to
assist the bank in the verification of the identification
given. The bank reserves the right to ask questions
to confirm identity and further reserves the right to
reject the identification provided.
