Mother Lode Bank is now open and ready to serve the community - providing our neighbors with the most friendly service in town! Recognizing the value that a locally owned and operated bank would bring to our community; this group of 23 prominent civic and business leaders came together to take the initial steps to organize a local community bank:

Mother Lode Bank received a state charter in March of 2003 and overwhelming support from the entire community as demand exceeded supply during our initial stock sale. The California Department of Financial Institutions and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation issued their final approvals and Mother Lode Bank opened for business on July 30, 2004. Our Board of Directors consists of 8 of the original organizers and our President and CEO, Charles (“Chuck") Milazzo. Under their direction, the bank has grown beyond $60 million in assets, established a Loan Production Office and ATM in Murphys, and opened a full service branch office at the Junction Shopping Center in Sonora.
